Sagging Neck Treatments

Neck treatments are often overlooked in a skincare regimen but the neck is one of the most prominent body parts to show signs of ageing. The skin in the neck is thinner than facial skin as it has different collagen content and fewer oil glands. It’s also one of the most sun-exposed areas of the body and while some people might religiously apply sunscreen to their faces as part of their daily skin care regimen, they often overlook their neck. Gravity and muscle activity plays a role, and over time skin becomes lax, lines and wrinkles start to develop, resulting in an unsightly “turkey neck”.

Traditionally, the only correction for a sagging neck was a surgical procedure, but that went hand-in-hand with hospitalization, expense and extended downtime for recovery. Recently, some newer non-surgical treatments have become available to aesthetically improve the neck and décolleté areas without surgery.

The Melrose Aesthetic Centre offers a range of neck treatments for an ageing neck – Nano Fat Transfer, Micro Laser Peels and Threading. These non-surgical solutions also address some of the other changes that surgical options cannot, such as thinning and wrinkled skin, brown pigmentation discolouration, and areas of Rosacea, or red blotchiness. When utilizing non-invasive options to treat the ageing neck, a combination of treatments will provide the most optimal results.
