Sagging Neck Treatments
Neck Treatments at The Face and Body Place. As the skin of the face ages so does the skin of the neck. Aging skin on the neck is very concerning to some patients and often they will seek treatments to restore the neck to a youthful appearance before even considering their faces.
The skin of the neck and face have a different anatomic architecture and components. The skin in the neck is thinner than facial skin as it has different collagen content and fewer oil glands.
The neck and facial skin therefore age differently and cannot be considered to be the same when undertaking treatments. Aging signs of the neck skin include fine and deep lines as well as hanging skin or “turkey neck”.
Neck treatments are often overlooked in a skincare regimen, but the neck is one of the most prominent body parts to show signs of ageing.
The neck may also be one of the most sun-exposed areas of the body and while some people might religiously apply sunscreen to their faces as part of their daily skincare regimen, they often overlook their neck. Gravity and muscle activity may also play a role, and over time skin becomes lax, lines and wrinkles start to develop, resulting in an unsightly “turkey neck”.
Traditionally, the only correction for a sagging neck was a surgical procedure, but that went hand-in-hand with hospitalization, expense and extended downtime for recovery. Recently, some newer non-surgical treatments have become available to aesthetically improve the neck and décolleté areas without surgery.
These non-surgical solutions also address some of the other changes that surgical options cannot, such as thinning and wrinkled skin, brown pigmentation discolouration, and areas of Rosacea, or red blotchiness. When utilizing non-invasive options to treat the ageing neck, a combination of treatments will provide the most optimal results.
At The Face and Body Place we are able to evaluate the condition of the skin of your neck and offer you a range of treatment solutions that include:
- Skin care and oral supplement products to protect, revitalize and enhance the condition of your skin
- Fractional laser
- Laser Resurfacing
- Embedded neck threading known as the Trampoline Neck Lift
Nano Fat Transfer
Nano Fat Transfer is the process whereby fat can be harvested from one part of the body and then placed in another part of the body as a fat graft. The reason that is done is to replace volume in the graft area so as to restore contour or shape to the area. This is of particular value in the face as well as in the breasts and buttocks.
Trampoline Neck Lift
The Trampoline Neck Lift is a minimally invasive technique used to lift and tighten sagging tissue in the neck. This is a non-surgical alternative to the traditional surgical neck lift for neck rejuvenation. The technique is primarily performed to redefine the jawline, reduce the loss of a sculpted neck contour…
Threading (Silhouette Soft®)
Threading (Silhouette Soft®) also known as Thread Lift is a revolutionary procedure for patients who seek a significant lift without invasive surgery. This is a one-time procedure which only takes one hour to perform, it is FDA cleared and is a minimally invasive technique used for correcting signs of ageing.
Micro Laser Peels
A Micro Laser Peel is a gentle, laser-assisted skin peel, which precisely removes the skin’s outermost layer to a predetermined depth. It is the perfect step between Microdermabrasion and deeper Chemical or Laser Peels for treating pigmentation, sun damage and melasma.
An Erbium Yag laser emits short pulses of high-energy light, which gets absorbed by the water and chromophores in the skin. The light becomes heat, and that heat removes thin layers of your skin’s surface, which will be replaced by younger, healthier and stronger skin growth.
Muscle relaxing injectable
The treatment involves the injection of Muscle Relaxing Injectable (or a similar neuromodulator products) into specific muscles with a very fine needle, which relaxes the contraction response of the muscles by blocking certain nerve impulses temporarily.
